Hope I am not too late

Yeah, as the title says, I hope I am not too late to wish everyone a happy new year and prosperous times ahead. 2006 or the year of the Dog saw us dogs having having a really bad year: bird shit dropping wherever i go to, 4D buy what number also cannot win, wait for bus also must wait very long, get onto the bus also no seats, walk around the void deck also get bitten by cats for no reason, getting choked on fish bones, having a hard time at school, finding egg shells inside your noodles, getting worms in the can, having download speeds affected by the earthquake, play mahjong lose ka lao sai, etc etc you know what i mean. Who ever said that year was gonna be the year of the dogs? It ain't, all because of some old geezer who is called tai sui and we, without a choice, had accidentally trampled on his head and messed up his hair and beard and so he became angry at us and decided to curse all the dogs born in 1982 to have a calamitous year.

Now that all of that has gone, and all the dust has settled from all the kicking about, its time to usher in the year of the pig with hope. Coincidentally this year is also one of the deciding chapters of the latter part of most of our lives - graduating and finding a job to fill our tummies must be the greatest concern we have on our minds.

And it wasn't a bad start at all. The holidays had been jam-packed with activities, and dare i say it was one of the most memorable of recent times. Inevitably it was spent with dear, and i'm glad i did, coz it was indeed fun. She has a fun family i guess haha sing ktv ah, eat weird but refreshing yusheng, watch vcds, win money on tai di. An extremely stark contrast as compared to my relatives, whom i swear were informed that should they talk during house visiting on CNY, some mishap will befall them.

Now the new year has officially come. Let the fyp wars begin!

Whim Wham Wala Wala

Weekend nights used to be as mundane as leaving a depressed shape in the form of your buttocks on the couch after a whole night of mindless telly watching; until recently that is - where our favourite hangout resides at one corner (although arguably the most happening one) of Holland V. It has everything a man with his companion needs, from soccer on widescreens to beer, rock music and a pesky waiter who acts fren fren with us. What else could be more fun than spending the weekends with ear deafening live music pounding on your ear drums? Nothing much except snorta, which comes a close second.

The sextet at the happening bar.

The girls, coincidentally all in white!

The guys, coincidentally in white too! Ok maybe not alvin he's dirty so he wear off white.

The band for the night, EIC (no relation to UIC or NTUC). They were boring until the electric guitarist Steven Chua came on, and the 2nd set was much better. Unexpected better?

The special for the day - 5 Danish beer, Tuborg, for only $35! Doesn't matter anyway, coz all beer taste like piss to me.

The Tuborg ladies! Ter Boh!
The happy couple! Muack!

Hope everyone enjoyed yourselves there! More Wala nights to come! Maybe we should give our group a moniker too, something like 'The Walas' or something?

And here comes the Walas.....

Or shall we be named Tuborgs?
